One of our students, Nathan Sisler, is featured on WVU’s homepage (under the “WV Experience” tab) for his accomplishments (see full story here). Nathan went abroad to Patagonia through the Leadership Studies Program as an Emma Noe Scholar.
One of our recent study abroad students, Rebecca Lovell, class of 2008, took her leadership learning overseas to Hong Kong, China in 2007. The Leadership Studies Program afforded her the opportunity to understand global communications and cultural etiquette while traveling in Asia. Her new global mindset has allowed her to guide others on study abroad experiences. To learn more about her visit feel free to check out her blog site posting from Jan.-June and Video Diaries to get more information on her experience in Hong Kong.
Taylor Jones is currently a sophomore at WVU as of Spring 2008. She is obtaining her degree in Journalism and minoring in Leadership Studies and English. The Leadership Studies program provided Taylor the funding she needed to travel to Patagonia, Chile to enhance her global outlook and utilize and expand her leadership skills. Taylor Jones plans to study abroad her junior year and continue traveling the world after college.
