The addition of leadership competence to the student’s West Virginia University portfolio is likely to be perceived as a valuable asset by future employers. The minor curriculum is tailored to complement the student’s academic major. Through the study of research-based leadership theory, lessons learned from experienced leaders, and serving others through the practice of leadership, the 18 hour Leadership Studies Minor prepares the student for a successful future as a leader, and an effective, well informed follower.
