is designed for the student who wants to discover his or her full potential as a leader. The addition of leadership competence to the student’s West Virginia University portfolio is likely to be perceived as a valuable asset by future employers. The minor curriculum is tailored to complement the student’s academic major. Through the study of research-based leadership theory, lessons learned from experienced leaders, and serving others through the practice of leadership, the 18 hour Leadership Studies Minor prepares the student for a successful future as a leader, and an effective, well informed follower.

“We Learn…
10% ... of What We Read
20% ... of What We Hear
30% ... of What We See
50% ... of What We See and Hear
70% ... of What We Discuss With Others
80% ... of What We Experience Personally
95% ... of What We Teach Others”
